Chris Chadwick accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of ten. Eight years later, while attending Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College, he committed his life to serving God as a full-time vocation. While in college he met and married his wife, Debbie. Since then, God has blessed their home with two wonderful daughters.
Pastor Chadwick became Youth Director at Calvary Baptist Church in San Dimas, California, and served there until he graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. After that, God moved the Chadwick family to Amarillo, Texas, where Pastor Chadwick served as Assistant Pastor of Central Baptist Church. God used this time to prepare the Chadwick family to move to San Diego. In 2002, they packed up their Ford Escort and headed west to start Canyon Ridge Baptist Church.
Over the next two decades, Canyon Ridge grew into a thriving, Christ-centered local church focused on expositional preaching and reaching San Diego with the Gospel. God has continually increased Pastor Chadwick’s love and vision for CRBC, and he is excited to see what God will continue to do in the future.
Burnie Lund was saved at an early age and raised in a Christian home. As a member of a military family, he lived in Southern California, the panhandle of Texas, Virginia and Wyoming.
Burnie attended college at the U.S. Naval Academy where he received his degree in Chemistry in 2003, after which he moved to San Diego to report for sea duty in the U.S. Navy. While looking for a church, God led him to Canyon Ridge Baptist, where he became Music Director in November 2004, and then Assistant Pastor in 2008. He married his wife, Leslie, in 2010 and they have been blessed with four children. Burnie and Leslie are true San Diegans at heart and look forward to many years of faithful ministry at CRBC.
Zane Garza

Zane served in the U.S. Navy for seven years after earning his Bachelors Degree at Thiel College in 2013. Not having grown up in a Christian home, Zane began going to church after joining the Navy. At his first duty station in San Diego, God led him to Canyon Ridge where he soon accepted Christ as His Savior. After six years of discipleship and mentorship, he left the Navy and joined the Canyon Ridge Staff as the Youth Pastor in 2021. Zane and his wife Kali have served as youth leaders at Canyon Ridge since getting married in 2016. They have two sons, Jace and Rhet, and currently foster a baby boy. When it’s time to relax, you can catch them enjoying the beach or at a Padres game.
